cr chart: futurology

Reputation is a key element in Warcraft. All characters begin at neutral reputation with Koltira, and move up or down the tiers according to how they treat him. Characters who approach him with kindness, respect, and understanding move more quickly upwards, whereas characters who antagonize him, fear him, or are otherwise cruel to him will fall fast. In other words: treat him like a person, and you rise; treat him like a monster, and you fall.

The tiers are as follows:

:: HATED.
:: HOSTILE.
:: UNFRIENDLY.
:: NEUTRAL.
:: FRIENDLY.
:: HONORED.
:: REVERED.
:: EXALTED.

Hover over the rep icons in each entry for IC remarks. Other remarks are OOC. More icons means further progress on the reputation bar, with 3 icons per bar.

» papyrus
(UNDERTALE)
REVERED

They've been through a lot together, and not all of it pleasant. Koltira broke Papyrus's ribs during his recent frenzy, nearly killing his long time friend. Though he's wracked with guilt, Papyrus (as ever) doesn't have much time for it. He is one of the people Koltira trusts and cares for most in Audentes.

» ana ramir
(ORIGINAL)
REVERED

They've had some ups and downs, but ultimately Ramir's stood by him through a whole lot of mess. She's energetic, lively, and fun--three things he will always desperately need in his life. On top of that, despite her cavalier exterior, she's one of the few people who's truly listened to & understood him since his arrival.

» olivia
(FIRE EMBLEM)
REVERED

From the start, Olivia has done everything she can to help Koltira. Regardless of the results, he's grateful for her efforts--even though they often mean peril to Olivia herself. Her kindness has meant everything to him, and it's helped soften his heart considerably. He still wishes she thought more of herself. He certainly thinks the world of her.

» aang
(A:tLA)
NEUTRAL

Koltira knew Aang for an idealist from the moment he met this kid. Who doesn't want to kill a pesky, violent, liable to eat you as soon as look at you sandworm? But Koltira has much more patience for Aang's perspective than he did before, not to mention respect. Aang's concern in the aftermath of the frenzy was welcome, too.

» meallan lavellan
(DRAGON AGE)
FRIENDLY

Meallan's goodness and his generous heart are plain for all to see, and Koltira's no exception. Still, Meallan's stubbornness often frustrates him; he feels that Meallan came to a number of conclusions about him that were not precisely on the mark, and then Meallan pursued his own line of thinking recklessly--til it lead to their very unpleasant frenzy encounter. Koltira cannot look at him without feeling a deep measure of guilt, though Meallan now seems more willing to listen rather than simply act.

» lancer
(FATE/)
FRIENDLY

Koltira's always had some measure of respect for Lancer, dating back to their fight during his first frenzy and carrying through with Lancer's support during the Nalawi mission. But then the guy disappeared for a while, and Koltira figured that was that. He returned just in time for Koltira's second total loss of shit, they fought again, and this time a Master-less Lancer needed help. Koltira reluctantly agreed to form the contract, and he's still not sure if he did the right thing. Still, Lancer is a good presence in his life: someone who shares a lot of his ideals without being such a gloomy fucking Gus about it.

» loki
(MARVEL)
FRIENDLY

Most of their conversations have centered around Loki trying to encourage Koltira's individuality, and to advise Koltira against falling into manipulative traps. Problem is, Koltira's only got a recently burgeoning sense of self, and Loki talks like how a snake moves, so Koltira thinks Loki just wants some undefinable thing from him, too. Recent happenings on the network dinged Koltira's perception further; he presently counts Loki among the people who would just rather be rid of him.

» lucy/nyuu
(ELFEN LIED)
NEUTRAL

Koltira saved this girl's life during their first encounter, and tried to take it during their second. PAR FOR THE COURSE. She's explained her dual personality to him, and he accepts this without judgment--even if he doesn't quite fully understand it. He understands, too, that Lucy is likely hostile towards him, but he's not terrifically worried about it (hostility is also par for the course). He means to do what he can to make up for attacking her during the frenzy, regardless.

» undyne
(UNDERTALE)
NEUTRAL

They've had some pretty severe differences, and things between them did not start out well (because Koltira sucks). But, like her friend Papyrus, Undyne is a fundamentally kind and understanding person. Though Koltira hasn't spoken much to her since her recent return, he saw her worrying for him over the network during his frenzy.

» lucina
(FIRE EMBLEM)
FRIENDLY

Olivia's esteemed daughter. Koltira first met her in the aftermath of his hysteria. She approached him without judgment, treated him like a person, and has continued to accept and tolerate the hell out of him. If she were any other person, he might question her attitude more, but he knows her for Liv's daughter, thus making her compassion and patience seem only natural. He sees a quiet strength and confidence in her, a steadying presence that he wishes he could emulate. He is grateful for her consideration.

» keats
(FOLKLORE)
HOSTILE

At first, Koltira merely found Keats baffling. Here was a man who asked a million questions and yet never seemed to comprehend the answers, nor accept them as truth. This continuous denial of objective reality quickly went from confusing to outright irritating. Now, in the wake of his hysteria, Koltira knows for a certainty that Keats himself is something otherworldly, and that he still denies this truth. Also, Keats argued for putting Koltira in solitary, so that was pretty rude. BEST KEEP YA DISTANCE, BRUV.

» riza hawkeye
(FMA)
NEUTRAL

Koltira met Riza by saving her from drowning. Then he attacked her while out of his mind, thus putting a pretty severe damper on their relationship. She supported him during the Nalawi mission, for which he was grateful, but the situation ultimately only complicated matters further--Riza admitted to him that she had participated, willingly, in genocide. While he felt--and still feels--he is not fit to truly judge her actions, it did cause a discomfiting shift in his opinion. However, he recognized that she regrets what she did, and he respects her calm stoicism and her commitment to the people around her. He views her as competent, selfless, and worthy. Thus, when she died, he brought her back. She wasn't too happy about it, though. Facebook status: It's Complicated.

» dipper
(GRAVITY FALLS)
FRIENDLY

When Koltira first met Dipper, he encouraged the boy to learn magic or swordsmanship or similar--basically, to ready himself for battle. Dipper's at a tender age, but you're never too young to learn how to kill a man/alien/terrifying monster (not in Azeroth, anyway). Dipper took it well enough. Like Keats, he had plenty of questions for Koltira, but unlike Keats, Dipper is a believer. Koltira tried to push him away, regardless, in part due to guilt over frightening Mabel, and in part because he could feel his reason slipping away from him as his next frenzy came due. It didn't work, and Dipper unfortunately saw Koltira in a terrible, violent moment. Despite his fresh guilt, Koltira does not truly want to send Dipper away. He cares about the kid.

» asher millstone
(HTGAWM)
NEUTRAL

Koltira doesn't have any real qualms with Asher, aside from the fact that when the man communicates in text it is near impossible for Koltira to grasp. He doesn't seem like a bad sort, though. Emotional, to be sure. He has seen flashes of sincere conviction from Asher, though it's frustrating that they're often bundled with crass slang.

» achilles
(THE ILIAD)
HATED

LOATHING, UNADULTERATED LOATHING. During the Nalawi mission, Achilles challenged Koltira's declaration that he meant to fight and kill that world's gods. Koltira felt disrespected by the tone Achilles took, and his agitation turned to fury when Achilles changed his tune at Gilgamesh's behest. To Koltira's perception, this was Achilles prostrating himself before someone he saw as 'divine' and therefore unfairly infused with authority. Matters between them continued to deteriorate, and their next conversation nearly resulted in a fight. Their most recent encounter was a fight, although Koltira regrets it. He was prepared to make amends, if he could--but then Achilles went and broke Olivia's heart. It's on now, motherfucker.

» aqua
(KINGDOM HEARTS)
NEUTRAL

Aqua is a truly noble soul--Koltira literally feels it rolling off of her in waves. Waves that cause him physical pain, because holy magic hurts like a whole field of nettles. His shadow-infused body doesn't make her feel great, either, so some part of him thinks they'd be better off avoiding each other (but some part of him thinks he'd be better off avoiding everybody). She's been kind to him for the few times they've spoken, though, and he respects her.

» sieglinde sullivan
(BLACK BUTLER)
NEUTRAL

AS IS THE PATTERN HERE, Koltira initially rescued Sieglinde (from the ashy skies and molten sands of Nalawi) and then later tried to attack her. Fortunately, he did no physical damage, but he did harm her familiar and set her up with some pretty fierce trauma regardless. She's thrown herself into finding some kind of cure for the blood hysteria--something Koltira is not entirely exists. Her experiments pain him, but he's willing to endure them for the sake of the team. She divulged her part in being used as a pawn to create a deadly weapon to him. He recognizes this as a great burden, but does not judge her for it.

» twisted fate
(LEAGUE OF LEGENDS)
HONORED

Koltira met TF when he was already on the cusp of his frenzy, wracked with pain and desperate for distractions. TF immediately picked up on the fact that Koltira needed to keep busy, and tried to supply him with tasks in this regard; their first interaction was Koltira fixing Fate's fancy boots. Koltira would have preferred it was their last, largely for Fate's own safety. But then they encountered each other while they were both young and a little more tender than their present selves. Fate developed a crush, Koltira was in too much pain to understand the situation, and things were complicated. Post-frenzy, Fate stuck by him--listened to him, cared for him, and never once judged him. He's shown more consistent kindness to Koltira than most, and certainly more outright affection. Their relationship still feels fraught and delicate, like it'll shatter or be stolen away in any instant, but Koltira's doing his best. Smiling more often, too.

» natalia romanova | black widow
(MCU)
FRIENDLY

Koltira worked with Nat to collect a bounty for clearing away menacing plantlife. In the course of this, Nat touched Byfrost--and got a mindful of bad mojo as a result. However, she bore the experience with stoic grace, impressing him. Next time they met, he was lost to his blood hysteria, and Nat did the unthinkable--she tried to talk him down. Even if it didn't work, he remembers her effort. He remembers how hard she tried not to hurt him. It matters.

» kung jin
(MORTAL KOMBAT)
NEUTRAL

Koltira doesn't know Jin very well. He's aware that Jin has some experience with a situation not entirely dissimilar to what Koltira suffers, but the particulars are not the same. Frustrated by the false equivalency, Koltira was content to go his usual route of avoidance--and then he met Jin during his frenzy. Koltira nearly killed him, and (as with the rest of his actions on that day) despite Jin's understanding, Koltira's still heavy with guilt from the encounter. Still, he's going to accept grace where he can find it.

» sai
(NARUTO)
NEUTRAL

Koltira doesn't really know what to make of Sai. He's not perturbed by the boy's emotionless affect, nor by his seeming indifference to the less savory work ALASTAIR must do, but he wonders about Sai's motivations/intentions. He wasn't able to devote much thought to the question while so close to losing his mind; however, with his faculties restored, he finds himself looking at the boy more carefully.

» amélie "widowmaker" lacroix
(OVERWATCH)
NEUTRAL

Met for the first time when Koltira attacked her. Not the sweetest meet-cute, but she forgave him, much to his (grateful) surprise. Intrigued by her because she is ostensibly alive, yet her heart beats so languid in her chest ...

» genji shimada
(OVERWATCH)
NEUTRAL

Koltira reacted to Genji's promises of friendship as he usually does--by trying to push him away. Audentes overflows with the stubborn type, though, and Genji is no exception. They met during Koltira's frenzy, and Koltira hurt him badly, freezing him almost to the point of death. Genji forgave Koltira even while in the throes of agony, even while possibly knowing he might not make it back alive, and Koltira still can't fathom such strength of character. Koltira envies Genji's deep peace of mind, but he's frustrated by Genji's attempts to relate to him. Koltira's anger cannot be resolved through meditation and training alone (though it would definitely help).

» hanzo shimada
(OVERWATCH)
UNFRIENDLY

Literally made a call-out post on the network about him?! Koltira hated that discussion and nearly everything said in it, because even supporters seemed to be trying to decide his life for him. As Hanzo got that ball rolling, Koltira holds him responsible for encouraging all that rude talk. But while he's vexed by the chatter, and by Hanzo's insistence that anything needs to be 'done' about him, he doesn't actually blame Hanzo for his anger. Genji is his brother, and Koltira well knows he'd feel similar about someone hurting his own family. That post--and their subsequent conversation--was still fucking rude, though.

» jasper
(STEVEN UNIVERSE)
UNFRIENDLY

Started with violence, continued with violence, will likely be violent for many ages and epochs to come. Jasper questioned Koltira 'wasting his time' in killing the bandits, and then they fought each other in earnest (well, mostly--Koltira didn't exactly know where he was or what he was doing) during the frenzy. Koltira sent her back to her gem in the process, and he hasn't seen much of her since. Given her clearly antagonistic nature, he is not expecting to find forgiveness from her quarter. He figures he'll be lucky if she doesn't turn into a whirlwind and try to directly smash in his face, in fact.

» "stiles" stilinski
(TEEN WOLF)
FRIENDLY

Hey, it's someone he's rescued and not subsequently attacked (yet)!! When Koltira first arrived, he found it odd that so many of the young humans had no idea how to handle a weapon, and Stiles stood out as a primary example. He's another one with a sharp, questioning mind, though, and while Koltira respects this, he's of the mind that a good defense is a good offense. Stiles defended him during Hanzo's call-out, and while Koltira appreciates it, he still feels (rationally or otherwise) nonplussed by all participants in that discussion.

» knock out
(TRANSFORMERS)
UNFRIENDLY

They haven't spoken much (and it might be better if that trend continues), but they started out sour right away. Flirting with Fate aside, Knock Out's introduction to Koltira involved driving around him in a circle, revving his engine in a way that Koltira found both disrespectful and threatening. That said, Knock Out proved handy in their fight against a suddenly appearing sandworm, and he did not abandon Koltira when things got dicey. Though Koltira's sure that was all on Fate's account, he respects it, nevertheless. Still doesn't like the guy much, though.

» keith
(VOLTRON)
FRIENDLY

Koltira's an impulsive sort, and it was pure impulse for him to give his lynx, Belore, to Keith and his friends. He handed the cat over while knowing very little beyond Keith's desire to take her, but he doesn't at all regret the decision. As Keith promised, his team cares for her, and that particularly includes Keith himself. Keith also took him up on the offer for training, and although Koltira was impressed by Keith's sheer determination, he feels the young man needs a little honing. But he sees a lot of potential in Keith--and maybe something of his own bull-headed, temper-driven self. Keith also defended him intensely against Hanzo, and spoke to him immediately afterwards to talk about the situation--both things for which Koltira is incredibly grateful. Solid man, in Koltira's book.

» lance
(VOLTRON)
FRIENDLY

Koltira hasn't spent as much time with Lance as with the rest of his team, but seeing Lance with Belore only reassures him that he made the right decision in giving her up. Lance takes the cat out on walks and treats her with all the love and care that Koltira hoped for her, and for this alone Koltira feels positively disposed towards Lance. But Lance also contacted him in the aftermath of Koltira's latest bloody mess, and instead of rendering judgment, he simply offered a chance for a nice walk with his cat. WHAT GOOD KIDS THESE VOLTRONS ARE.

» shiro
(VOLTRON)
FRIENDLY

In the aftermath of Koltira's madness, Shiro came to him. Though they were strangers to each other, Shiro did his best to help, and in later days, he's done his best to listen. He spoke with concern in the network posts that went up while Koltira was too maddened or too guilty to respond, and he promised that he wouldn't let anyone take Koltira's freedom of choice away from him. His conviction resonates, and Koltira wonders where it comes from. Shiro has the bearing of someone carrying a heavy weight; he is young but careful, thoughtful. Koltira would like to know more about him, to know more about where Shiro got that solemn look in his eyes.
